My mother taught me that I should always carry black eyeliner with me because it’s easy to turn makeup into night with it. I would teach my children that a little goes a long way! I hate when people cake on makeup 🙁

Hello! What a fabulous gift for any mom. My mom wore very natural makeup, but did help me to know
how to oomph my makeup for the evening. Use highlighter (soft pink/beige) to highlight facial areas, lipgloss with more color and shine, and a dark shade of eyeliner to add and smudge…
    Many thanks, Cindi
    “Happy Mother’s Day” to all!

My mom didn’t teach me anything about make up. LOL. However, she did tell me to not put so much or it will looks fake. lol. Haha. She also tells me to not pluck so much of eyebrows cause it will look ugly like her’s. LOL.

My mom always taught me to wear the lipstick…it can be a bit more light during the day but at night…you have to make sure you’ve got it on & carry it with you as you need to reapply at some point during the evening. I’d probably pass the same knowledge on to my kids too…

  8. Shannon says:

My mom taught to go as natural as possible during the day and at night I can go bolder with eyeliner and a darker lipstick. Following @sethandshannon1

  9. Eva says:

My mom taught me not to over do on the eyeshadow for the daytime and save it for the night 😉
Mascara is a must, as well!

  10. My mom never wore makeup .. but I do. As for what I tell my kids … well, I have two boys, so we definitely don’t wear makeup. I keep it light in the day.

  11. Kathleen says:

My mom taught me to not “overdue” my make-up. I will tell my daughter the same thing. Natural looks better, and save the dramatic looks for the evening.

  12. Eve says:

To be honest my mother didnt teach me anything about day to night makeup. I learned on my own.

My mother did not teach me much about makeup which is why I probably don’t wear any! I have no idea what I will tell my own little girl, I guess her nice aunt will have to show her!

  14. with no mom to guide me, I learned by trial and error, what worked for me…I don’t wear much, but when I do, I like it to look like someone did it for me. 😉 My MIL has asked me a few times…Did YOU do your makeup? I LOVE IT!

  15. Valerie C. says:

My mom passed young too….but, I remember everything she said about beauty, like, “If you wear no other makeup, wear a rosy lipstick to brighten your face.” It works well for evening 🙂

  16. Sheryl says:

My mother always said to play up your best features. For me, that is my eyes, so she always said for me to put on eyeliner, smokey eyeshadow and lots of mascara for an evening look.
