It’s Mother’s day, so here is our “No Cook, They Cook” edition- giving you someÂ easy treats for your loving family to make (no really. Do not step a food near that stove!)
Mother’s day is here….so why not treat yourself with an indulgent snack or two? I have a snack in store that is easy, simple and the clean up is a breeze!
* Recipe #1: Crepes
Even if crepes always seem intimidating… they requireÂ just 6 ingredients (most of which you likely have around the house). Crepes are light, so they are always a good option for topping with chocolate or fresh fruit (or something savory!)
* 1/2 cup of milk
* 1/2 cup of water
* 2 eggs
* 1 cup of all purpose flour (gluten-free, ifÂ preferred)
* 1/4 teaspoon of salt
* 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter
Any variety of topping you choose (strawberries, blueberries and chocolate are nice sweet choices!)
* 1 large bowl
* 1 frying pan
* 1 spatula
* Cooking oil
Mix together the flour and eggs slowly in a large bowl. Next add the milk, slowing to combine. Then add the salt and butter and combine until smooth. Heat a well oiled frying pan, using about 1/4 cup for each crepe, and add the mixture to the pan. Tilt the pan in a circular motion so it spreads all over the pan evenly. Cook about 2 minutes on each side so that each side is a golden brown color. Serve hot and make sure to add the topping of moms choice!
