Scentsy Is Not Your Ordinary Candle

Powered by Whrrl

My house smells like a dirty diaper. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve run around with a pricey bottle of perfume (spraying every nook and cranny as if Fabreeze were grading me). In fact, it might have been Socrates that once said: “no matter how many times thee wraps a diaper with plastic bags, the smell doth not fade”. We have tried just about everything to make our house smell better (you know, almost as if children don’t actually coexist inside). I’ve bought pine-cone crusted candles for the holidays, fancy sprays and Crock Pot meals (all of which I associate with pleasant smells)… but they only do the trick for  a couple of hours.

I never realized what an impact a beautifully smelling house can have on a mother’s psyche. As someone who spends hours debating what new mascara or pair of jeans I’m going to spend my precious shopping money on (something that happens maybe once a decade), candles never enter the equation. Why spend money on something you can’t eat or wear? But this is all before I tried Scentsy. I literally had no idea what a relief and a difference the scent in your home can make. Scentsy is different from your average candle or spray because it’s reusable (the holder stays in your house like a beautiful decoration), which also means I get points on the “eco-friendly mom team”. All you have to do is take a small cube of “scent”, place it in the Scensty holder and it will fill your house in minutes. The wax never gets boiling hot (so you don’t have to worry about your children accidentally touching it): just “flip the switch” to turn if off when you’re done. I’ve been using it every single morning to fill my home with a beautiful, inviting smell (and now there is no turning back).

The best part of all is that it really doesn’t cost as much as you’d think. In fact, I hope to get the Scentsy Plug-In (which plugs easily into any outlet in your house to fill the room with lovely aromas) for various family members this holiday season. The Plug-In is only $15 (but you can use it every day for years on end)… pretty good deal, right? Best of all, I’m helping spread the word about my own Independent Scentsy consultant Maria (because she’s the best around). Don’t believe me? I love the prancer burner. I have a couple of the different ones already. But I don’t have any of the holiday ones.

My all time favorite scent is the new Central Park Praline. I’m allergic to flowers, so I don’t like the burn flowery scents. I normally go for the food related I currently have sticky buns, sugar cookie, central park praline, and I think the other one is clean linen.
    I hear scentsy!!
