Maybe One Day I’ll Become Someone’s Muse and They’ll Write Songs Like This

Songs Even A Deaf Girl Wants You To Download*:

* “Dance In The Graveyards” by Delta Rae= It’s borderline cheesy (and a little too lighthearted for my related-to-Daria taste), but I still love using this in my modern dance class. Why? Try dancing around the metaphoric graveyards of your living room and get back to me. [No video version with lyrics, so live was best I could do!]

* “You and I” by Ingrid Michaelson= If I was rich, I wouldn’t spend so much time on homes, nor prancing around in knitwear. Instead, I’d want land, I’d want a house with this inside of it, and I’d want to travel the world with my girls, and my love, and shop at Target with wild abandon. Just so ya know…

* “The Line” by The Eastern Sea= The lyrics are hopeful, they’re naive… they’re just what I need right now. [No video with lyrics, no live video to watch… Fellow deafies might just have to read the lyrics on this one. Boo]

* “Dark Parts” by Perfume Genius= It sounds like an amalgamation of most songs you’d find on a Zach Braff soundtrack (Garden State, The Last Kiss), but it has that slowly amplifying type of beat I love to feel in my car. Plus, he says “I will take the dark part of your heart into my heart”, which seems wildly romantic in a Burton-esque kind of way.

Requisite Wedding Dress To Drool Over (Because Does This Ever Get Old?)

Art Candy To Satiate Your Soul: I could stare at this for days (it also makes me want a bubble bath, oddly)…

Where You Should Go In Your Head Right Now: If I had hot chocolate on standby, the cutest coats ever, and could write a book somewhere in those windows…

Do you have art, music, movies or anything to add to the list this week? Leave a suggestion or Pin me!

* I try my best to link all songs to videos featuring lyrics only for fellow deafies. It’s helpful and all kinds of awesome (you’re welcome!)
