Kate Beckinsale Hot Weather Hair – Beauty Momma Dilemma

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

New Momma Mayhem: Maintaining healthy, strong and shiny hair can be difficult in the middle of summer, because hot weather provides a variety of troubles.Whether damage from chlorine, high temperatures or extreme sun, many mothers find themselves fried and frizzy by the end of vacation season (unless they are like follically blessed momma, Kate Beckinsale, above). Combat the perils of hot weather by using simple, affordable products and basic hair care tricks…

    The Fix:

    • Plan To Protect- The key to keeping hair healthy this summer, is to prevent damage before it actually occurs. Plan ahead by using a UVB protecting serum or cream before hitting the beach, and always saturate strands with a rich conditioner (or cold tap water, when in a bind) before diving in to the pool.

We Recommend: Apply a thick, hydrating mask to strands before hitting the pool or salt water (braid hair to prevent tangles), like the cheap and effective Pantene Pro-V Nourish 5 Minute Strengthening Mask, and use a UVB protecting shampoo and conditioner before hitting the sand (such as Sunsilk Get Hairapy Therma-Shine products). Finally, give your hair the extra boost it needs (to combat the drying effects of heat and sun) by using a rich, daily treatment on ends whenever possible (we love John Frieda’s Frizz Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum).
