Get In The City Style With Whitney Eve Spring 2011

The Show: Whitney Eve

The Style: We already know who Whitney Port is (the gorgeous, sweet and lanky blonde from The City, who has genuine talent and fashion perspective despite the reality bubble), and you might even be familiar with her fashion. Luckily, Whitney Eve’s Spring 2011 line was just as fresh faced and refreshing as the designer seems to be herself. Using a mix of muted undertones and bright pops of color (reminiscent of sorbet), Whitney weaved casual cool looks that weren’t trying to hard, but still had a crisp, feminine aesthetic (never sloppy).

The Look: Using products from Stila Cosmetics and TRESemme, the amazing makeup artists and hairstylists created a fresh faced, natural look that any mom can create at home (literally). Try swiping on a sheer, dewy tinted moisturizer, highlight your face with a fresh, peach color (add Stila One Step Makeup Prime Color to your eyelids, cheekbones and lips), and a give a fresh swipe of creamy, pastel color to your eyelids. Although the models had light purples and greens (which might often seem scary to newbie makeup applyers), but it’s a great way to play around with new looks without going over the top. Finally, create gentle “just out of bed” waves by adding a texturizer treatment or dry shampoo (like TRESumme’s new Fresh Start Waterless Foam Shampoo) and lightly crimping or curling hair in alternating directions (so it looks natural, not stiff).

Go All The Way: Want to go the extra mile to get the look from Whitney Port’s fashion show? Try using the new Zeno Heat Treat Blemish Prevention Kit (which of course the gorgeous Whitney both uses and represents). Personally, I will vouch for the genius behind this product because it uses a two step system (blemish treatment cream and the Zeno heated device) to unclog pore and zap breakouts before they even begin (in literally minutes a day). Of course this only works on certain types of skin (pimples when they’re just starting) and should only be used following the directions… but it is a surprisingly affordable alternative to a dermatologist visit or spa treatment (only $39.99 for all of that in-home convenience!)

* Speak Up: What do YOU like most about this runway look: the hair, the nails or the makeup?

  1. Oh no! I realized that I wrote “Stacy Lucero” in the video, but her name is Sarah Lucero. She is the Stila makeup artist, and I can’t believe I made that mistake (one too many sleepless nights with fussy baby, perhaps?) I’m just going to blame it on baby this time….
