“I have never taken my hair too seriously. I will cut it all off, grow it out and then cut it all off again. It’s only hair and it will always grow back! I have felt the same about my hair color. I will go from blonde to red, to brown and back to blonde. It’s fun to change things up! I have spent a ton of money at the salon (and will color it myself as well), but I do admit that it is so much nicer to go to a salon and be pampered for a few hours then have to struggle with the whole process at home!
Well, I went out on a limb this week! I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and go to a beauty school to get my hair “did”. I actually have an Aveda Institute right down the street from me! And I have to say, it wasn’t bad at all. I saved money, contributed to a students future and got a great cut and highlight. This is not for the faint of heart. Truth be told, it is time consuming. I was there for 3 hours! But, if you don’t mind the time issue, you are going to save a small fortune. I received a haircut for $12.00 and partial highlights and low-lights for $36.00. It was worth the risk to try it at least one time (and I will definitely go back!)”
