I cover up a bad hair day with a hat or a very tight ponytail, combed with a fine tooth comb, so it doesn’t spring loose. I then braid the ponytail, and secure the ends, which can either be left hanging, or wrapped around the base of the ponytail, to form a bun.

Also, if my hair is in need of a WASH, and I don’t have time, I take a super absorbent and soft hand towel and scruff the roots, to soak up excess oils, then style as usual.

I use this spray product called Pssst. It is like baby powder in an aerosol spray. I’m blonde, so the fact that it is pretty whiteish doesn’t bother me … in fact it lightens my roots ;-)
You can get it at almost any drugstore for around $5.

Love the suggestions for a stylish ponytail (I am also a fan of hats!) I’ve never tried the trick with a towel (good idea!) or the Pssst spray (but I love using baby powder, because also blonde). I’ll have to check the drugstore…

There is a great product that Ojon makes for cleaning your hair without washing it. It has that wonderful Ojon smell, and it leaves your hair soft, dry, and no longer oily. I wish I could afford to have it at all times. Check QVC for it. I also wet my medium long hair, brush it and let it dry and it also makes a difference when I cant get a full shampoo done.
