Do you ever watch your kids rolling around on their Heely’s sneakers and secretly think… why can’t that be me? This is what I thought when recently viewing the brand new Nanoâ„¢ inline footboard (a one-of-a-kind item that connects seamlessly to Heelys skate shoes and creates a “skateboard like” effect when you roll). Instead of mastering an actual skateboard (something that in my case would result in many injuries), the Nano lets you “freeboard”: a brand new sport that involves coasting on one foot.

If you take your beauty seriously, these are heavy duty items that pack a big ingredient punch for their price. I love going to New York Fashion Week each season (to report for Makeover Momma), but it can create a lot of stress. Between the frenzied pace, high fashion personas and late nights out, it can make any girl feel less than her best (especially when that girl is a full-time, stressed out, far-from-glamorous mom!) Even if you’re not primping and prepping for fashion like moi (that’s couture for “me”), you might be anticipating a special event like a wedding, girls night out or anniversary dinner.

If there is one thing I love in life, it’s trying products before they’ve even hit shelves.
