Looking for a last minute gift idea before the holidays hit? If your parents are anything like mine, they’re constantly fighting technology in every sense of the word. I don’t know how many times my mother has said, “Why don’t you give me any photos of your children? I have no photos because all of them are trapped on a computer somewhere”. She proudly displays images of the token siblings who are not digital camera friendly, and disregards the rest of us because we imprison visual memories on our computer like evil villians. In her eyes, if a photo isn’t a tangible item she can display for all to see… than it doesn’t really exist.
So what is the one gift I should probably get my parents this year? That’s right, photos. The only problem is that giving your family a big stack of snapshots isn’t exactly the most thoughtful move in the world. This is why I’m in love with the new Kodak Holiday Photo Books. I gave my parents a photo book last year and realized this could become an amazing tradition: an annual holiday book that they can share, cherish and look back on for years to come. I’m just glad these books didn’t exist in my teens (braces in HD? Not so pretty!)
